Rack PDU: outlets, phases, contacts
Choose a rack PDU by outlet count, single or three phase, current reading and BMS contacts.
A PDU is a power strip, not a UPS
The UPS holds the load when mains fail. The PDU splits outlets in the cabinet. A “smart” PDU is wasted if you only need C13 sockets; a 10-outlet bar is short for 16 devices.
- Outlet count and type (C13, C19, local sockets)
- Single or three phase; rating matches the cabinet breaker
- Whether current or kWh must go to the BMS
