Metered or basic PDU: a floor comms rack is not a plant row
A floor comms rack: a basic strip is enough. A plant room that asks kWh per cabinet needs a metered PDU, right phase, right amps.
The schedule says “24-way C13 PDU”. A floor comms rack: a basic strip, the branch amps, a breaker on the bar — enough. A plant room where the owner asks kWh per rack: an unmetered strip cannot answer. That is a metered PDU (or switched if the file wants remote outlets).
Write phases (1P or 3P), current (16 A / 32 A), the inlet (C20, IEC, industrial), C13/C19 count. A 32 A 3P bar into domestic C13s is the wrong electrical file. SNMP into the BMS only if the file asks — do not buy metered and leave the LAN port empty.
