Choose a PoE switch for cameras
PoE budget, uplink, managed versus unmanaged, and where the recorder sits.
Budget, then ports, then management
Lock the watt budget first. Then port count plus spare. Then whether the file needs VLANs, a ring or a managed switch. Unmanaged is enough for a small recorder-in-the-rack job; a building backbone is not.
