FCUs: a room thermostat or a DDC point
Until the file says whether FCUs stand alone or report to the BMS, you have two schedules.
Two hundred FCUs. The owner wants “BMS on the air-con”. Some files only take a common alarm. Others want every room setpoint in the software. Those are two orders. Buying the maker’s thermostat for the second scheme means buying twice.
Stand-alone: the schedule is the machine’s own thermostat — no room points on the DDC. Onto the DDC: a room sensor or a communicating thermostat, a valve, fan speed — times the FCU count, plus modules. Lock one sentence on the file before you count valves.
