How to lay out a controller cabinet
Lay out a DDC cabinet: split valve power, signal trunking, labels, spare module space.
The modules have enough points and you still cannot pull another cable. Trunking, terminals, labels and spare space did not make the schedule. The contractor drills the gland plate on site. That is a materials take-off, not bad luck.
Split the CPU and sensor supply from the valve supply when valve current is high — one 24 V brick for everything is how you brown-out the controller. Signal and power do not share one closed slot. Labels both ends, a drawing in the door, about 10–15% spare module space.
