Damper actuators: fire on/off is not an AHU modulating motor

A fire damper is often 230 V, two-position, spring-return. An AHU fresh-air damper is often 24 V, 0–10 V. Mix them on one AHU and the interlock is wrong.

The schedule says “damper actuator” once for the building. Fire / smoke dampers: usually 230 V, two positions, spring home on power loss — that is the fire file. AHU fresh-air: 24 V, 0–10 V, torque from blade area. A 230 V spring on fresh air: the DDC cannot meter the air. A 0–10 V motor on a fire damper: the fire consultant will not accept it.

Torque (N·m) follows the maker’s table and the damper size — not “10 N·m for all”. End switches back to the BMS are their own line. Write supply and signal the same way you write a water valve.
