24 VAC or 24 VDC: valves and sensors are not one brick
Many modulating valves take 24 VAC. Active sensors often take DC. One brick for the whole cabinet cooks an output or the valve never opens.
The valve label says 24 V. The sensor says 24 V. The schedule takes one 5 A brick “for the cabinet”. On site the valve is 24 VAC from a transformer; the sensor is 24 VDC from a switcher. Bond the zeros — one side lives, the other dies, or an analog output burns. Same number, two families.
Read every label. European valves often want 24 VAC; active 0–10 V / 4–20 mA heads usually want DC. Some DDC digital outputs tolerate AC; some do not. If the file mixes them, split the supplies, or buy 24 VDC valves to match the sensors. Do not “swap a wire to make it work”.
